The line-up for the Forth Bridges Festival next September was unveiled earlier this week and it promises something for everyone and all ages.
The 10-day event, from September 4 to 13, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Forth Road Bridge and is one of the key events in the Homecoming Scotland 2014 calendar.
The programme includes the Forth Bridges House Party at Hopetoun House on Saturday, September 6; a torchlight procession over the Forth; a concert featuring local band Bwani Junction; a flotilla on the Forth; a biker rally; a historic haunted walk; a rowing challenge between teams from North and South Queensferry, the world’s biggest sit-down lunch on both sides of the Forth; trips to the top of the Forth Road Bridge, and a spectacular firework display to finish off the celebrations.
