To coincide with British Pie Week the award-winning Hopetoun Farm Shop is launching a brand new pie collection.
And, to celebrate the launch, Hopetoun Farm Shop is offering 100 Journal and Gazette readers the chance to claim a free beef Scotch pie.
Simply cut out the voucher in this week’s Journal and Gazette and take it to the shop between March 1 and 7 and the first 100 readers will get a free pie.
Inspired by TV chef Paul Hollywood’s visit to the shop and which featured on the BBC’s ‘‘Pies and Puds’’ series last November, head butcher Derek Mackintosh began creating his own range of meat pies and pastries for the shop.
Derek’s recipes have been tested extensively on Hopetoun staff and customers during a series of taste tests and are being unveiled this weekend and includes steak pies, beef Scotch pies, mince rounds and steak bridies – all brimming with succulent Hopetoun estate-reared Aberdeen Angus beef.
Commenting on his creations, Derek Mackintosh said: “The Hopetoun pie range complements our extensive butchery selection which has built up a loyal customer base.
‘‘Everyone has their favourite type of pie so we involved our customers right from the start when it came to selecting our final range – Paul Hollywood eat your heart out!”
Available in-store at Hopetoun Farm Shop from March 1, the pies range from £1.19 to £11.99.
Hopetoun Farm Shop is located near Newton on the A904 next door to New Hopetoun Garden Centre.
