It was friends united on Tuesday as four Bo’ness Academy pupils celebrated great SQA exam results.
Aidan Hilton, Kirsten Miller, Katie Smith and Melanie Snedden all gained four A grade Highers and one B Higher.
The four pupils are friends and their equal success in the exams has pleased them. Kirsty summed it up for them all when she said: “I’m so happy.”
Aidan’s Highers were in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Music and English; Kirsten’s subjects were Maths, English, Physics, History and Chemistry; Katie’s Highers were in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Geography; and Melanie gained her Highers in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Head teacher David Mitchell is proud of the four friends and of all the pupils who achieved success in the exams.
Andrew Sutherland, director of education for Falkirk Council, said: “We are pleased with the examination performance across all of our secondary schools which has been very positive this year at all levels.
‘‘Indeed the standards reached across the authority have matched and in many cases exceeded the high performance achieved last session.”
Councillor Alan Nimmo added: “The success is down to hard work supported by dedicated teachers and good parental/carer support. We congratulate all of our pupils who have made their schools and families very proud.”
