Get active outdoors in the Falkirk area

WALK and Talk Week kicks off in the Falkirk Council area next week, encouraging everyone to explore the great outdoors thanks to free events.

Ian Scott, of Falkirk Local History Society, will lead a history history walk around Bo’ness town centre next Wednesday, June 8, from 7pm.

He’ll take walkers around the old graveyards at Corbiehall and tour the historic streets in the outstanding conservation area.

Meet at Seaview Place car park; for more info, call Ian on 01324 627692.

Kinneil Estate’s involved too and there’s a fundraiser for Strathcarron Hospice on June 12.

Leaflets in the library and Kinneil Museum have the details, or visit www.falkirk.gov.uk/walkandtalkweek

This is the first Walk and Talk Week, organised jointly by the council, the Forestry Commission, Step Forth and Braveheart.

Bo’ness councillor Adrian Mahoney, leisure, tourism and community convener, said it aimed to encourage everyone to be more active and explore the fantastic heritage and natural history on the doorstep.
