Time is running out for would-be entrepreneurs to book their place in the Coalfields Community Challenge Dragons’ Den.

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is organising the event to mark Global Entrepreneurship Week.

The Den will be held in Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium from 11am to 3pm on Friday, November 21, but applications must be received by Tuesday, November 18.

It will give social enterprises from coalfields areas the opportunity to pitch their projects to a panel of Dragons for awards of up to £3,000 and three months business support.

The day will also provide a networking opportunity for social enterprises and the chance to find out more about the Trust’s Coalfields Enterprise, Community Investment and Community Futures Programmes.

A spokesman for the Trust said: “This is a prime opportunity for businesses and groups within the Bo’ness area to make an application for funding via the Dragons’ Den .

“As well as being a bit of fun there is a serious side too.”

Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.

Places are limited. If you would like to attend email david.wright@coalfields-regen.org.uk or call 01259 272127.
