ONE Linlithgow High Street hair salon has raised £1,000 for WaterAid with the help of its generous clients.

Detail has just finished their fundraising month in co-ordination with Aveda’s Earth Month to help raise money for the worthwhile charity. WaterAid aims to transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest communities. Since 1981 the charity has reached over 14 million people with access to safe water. Aveda’s employee fundraising activity throughout Earth Month has enabled local communities in Nepal and Ethiopia gain access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation. On average, it costs WaterAid £15 to reach one person with lasting access to a supply of safe water and sanitation.

As well as fundraising over the month including a raffle, all Detail staff worked on Sunday, April 17, giving all proceeds to the charity.
