ALL the numbers have lined up for one Linlithgow boy who turns 11 today - Friday, November 11, 2011.
Robert Chadwick has looked forward to this birthday for the past few years and has been counting down the days till the unusual date.
The P7 pupil at Springfield Primary said: “My birthday is definitely a bigger deal this year - I was always going on about being 11 on 11/11/11!”
This week Robert was planning pizza for lunch with school friends and a party package over at Livingston Golf Club.
He added: “Me and dad used to go there a lot and I liked it. They have a crazy golf pitch and putt that you play in the dark. I’ve asked people to wear luminous or white t-shirts so that we glow in the dark.”
The family who live at Sheriffs Park were also looking forward to celebrating. Mum Judith (42), a manager at Henley’s, said: “Robert’s a typical boy - always out and about. He loves football and he’s joined the Reed Band - he’s really enthusiastic about the trumpet. He’s a gorgeous boy.”
The whole family are getting together including scientist dad Alistair (47), brother Alexander (20), and sister Eleanor (18) for the special day that came early eleven years ago.
Judith added: “He should have been born on Christmas Day, but I had a rare liver disorder, obstetric cholestasis (OC), which meant that he arrived early. ‘‘We were told the baby may be born with brain damage or that something might be wrong, but he was absolutely fine. We were really lucky and St John’s were amazing. Robert came out a 6lb 11oz bruiser at seven weeks premature. We were quite relieved as if he’d gone full term, they thought he would have been about 12lbs!”
