THERE have been a lot of swings and roundabouts but a new play area for Deanburn has opened after a £35,000 facelift.
West Lothian Council has installed a raft of brand new equipment at the Linlithgow park including a small climbing unit, seesaw, spinning bowl, ambulance springer, mini car activity unit, a Tick Tock panel, cradle swing frame and seats, and a junior rotator.
A new multi-coloured rubber safer surface, round timber bollards and rope have also been added to the play area, partly designed by pupils from St Joseph’s and Linlithgow Primary School (pictured).
Linlithgow councillor Tom Conn said: “The feedback from local residents has been very positive and I’m delighted with the new development. The council has invested in play areas across West Lothian which are all vitally important facilities for young people and families.”
