1 What’s your all-time favourite piece of artwork and why?
Claude Monet’s Lilypond in the Orangerie Gallery, Paris. As my grandson says, ‘it’s awesome!’.
2 How do you like to escape from it all?
Visit my home town Perth to watch St Johnstone FC.
3 What’s your most anticipated event this autumn?
My birthday with the family in November.
4 If you could change one thing in your life to date, what would it be and why?
The UK banking system to hopefully benefit everyone.
5 Describe your perfect meal.
A nice piece of fresh fish.
6 Why did you take up painting and who/what inspires you?
As a relaxation from attending scenes of crime during 30 years in the police. The words of my old art teacher, the late Mr R.W. McLaggan at school and listening to soothing music as I paint.
7 Which three words best sum you up?
Humorous, sociable and reliable.
8 What’s been your proudest achievement?
Arrival of our first grandson Noah.
9 Where would you love an all-expenses paid trip to, and why?
Norwegian Fjords to admire the mountains, waterfalls and listen to the music of Edvard Grieg.
10 Which item in your wardrobe could you never part with and why?
My blue and white woollen scarf ‘cos it keeps me warm while watching football in winter.
