A POP up pamper party next week will raise funds for St John’s Oncology Unit.
This time last year, complementary therapist Mary Philbin was visiting the unit with her son David Orr who had contracted cancer in his appendix. He was half way through his intensive course of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with the rare cancer only weeks before his 21st birthday.
Mum Mary said: “The staff in the Oncology Unit are not only medical professionals, they are an amazing support structure for both their patient and the patient’s family.”
The pop up party will host a variety of stalls and provide a chance to discover and try mini therapies, a raffle and a tombola as well as demonstrations and refreshments.
Tickets are £3 and available from Mary at The Treatment Room within Complete Health at the Millstone, or by calling her on 01506 200125/07793111599. Or you can pay at the door on the night. The event will take place in the Low Port Centre, Blackness Road, Linlithgow on Wednesday, June 22 , from 7pm-9.30pm.
If anyone wishes to donate to the raffle please hand into the treatment room or call Mary and she will arrange collection.
