A new class aimed at enhancing parent and child relationships - while promoting health and fitness is heading for Bo’ness next month.
The Together Programme is funded by the National Lottery and is run by Falkirk FC Foundation.
Pre-school children and their parents will attend classes in tandem - with the children working on skills including passing, dribbling and shooting, while their parents look at circuit training, fitness testing and diet and nutrition.
Each group works seperately for 40 minutes before joining together for 15 minutes of child and parent play.
The course culminates in a visit to Falkirk Stadium where parents will have a session on educational activities for children and playing together, while the children have the chance to become a Mini Bairn.
A spokesman for Falkirk FC Foundation said: “The Together programme aims to enhance parent and child relationships by building confidence and increasing motivation.
“It will also decrease social isolation by providing access to early learning and play, as well as giving access to learning opportunities to support parent and child inter-actions.”
The sessions are free and take place at Bo’ness Rec-reation Centre over a period of nine weeks from April to June on Fridays from 11.15 am-12.15pm.
