Bo’ness fundraiser and outdoor instructor Kenny Noble (43) is about to take on the challenge of a lifetime in remembrance of two family members and another currently fighting cancer.
Kenny has raised £1400 so far to take part in the Macmillan Cancer Care cycle challenge, which will see him cycling 315 miles between Amritsar in India and finishing at the state capital of Himachal Pradesh through the Himalayan foothills via the 3223 metre high Jalori Pass.
All participants are asked by Macmillan to raise a minimum of £3950 from which £1500 is deducted by the charity to cover the costs of getting participants to India.
Kenny has decided that he will cover his own costs and has set himself a £5000 fundraising target.
His first major challenge toward this goal is a sponsored swim at Bo’ness Recreation Centre on May 2.
The event will see Kenny attempting to swim 26 miles, or 1664 lengths in 24 hours.
