Linlithgow golf club break in

Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves made off with golf clubs from Linlithgow Golf Club worth over £6500.

The incident happened around 9.30pm on Tuesday with the thieves taking over 30 TaylorMade RBZ golf clubs.

While the golf club was closed at that time of night, police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a suspicious vehicle in the area at that time.

A police spokesman said: “Removing such a large quantity of clubs will undoubtedly have either required transport or more than one person and so anyone who remembers seeing a suspicious vehicle or people in the area on Tuesday evening should contact police immediately. Similarly, we are keen to speak to anyone who can assist in identifying those responsible and would urge them to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information can contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131, or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
