Contrary to rumours circulating Linlithgow, the Journal and Gazette can reveal that the Bonsyde Hotel is not closing down.

The hotel is in fact getting a whole new look, with a refurbished restaurant in the plans, along with an extension which will allow for functions and other larger events.

Staff hope that the new look hotel will be re-opened later this year .

Manager, Gerry Kunjumon (25) said: “We are still open, people have nothing to worry about there. The restaurant has been closed to allow the refurbishment to start, and building work for the extension will start soon.”

He added: “Discussions are still ongoing with planning, but we hope to have the hotel open again for October.”
