Bo’ness motorcyclist dies following collision

POLICE have today named a motorcyclist who died after a collision involving a fellow biker on the A904 on Monday afternoon (yesterday) as 62-year-old Brian Allan of Bo’ness.

The incident occurred around 4pm on the A904 Falkirk - Bo’ness - South Queensferry Road, near to River View House between Champany and Carriden Brae, when a white Citroen minibus carried out a manoeuvre and crossed the carriageway into a layby on the opposite side of the road.

A Yamaha motorcyle and Mr Allan’s Honda collided, resulting in Mr Allan’s death.

The 58-year-old male rider of the Yamaha and the 71-year-old minibus driver were uninjured.

The road was closed for approximately four hours to allow investigations to be carried out.
