SCHOOLS, groups and businesses across the district took part in Macmillan Cancer’s ‘‘world’s biggest coffee morning’’ on Friday.

Our photographer Gordon McBrearty visited several of the events to capture Journal and Gazette readers supporting the event.

At Springfield Community Wing in Linlithgow coffee drinkers raised £123.41, while at Donaldsons School for the Deaf they raised £700.

Staff at the A9 Partnership at Abercorn ensured they got their fix of caffeine as they raised over £300 while St Margaret’s Primary School in Queensferry raised £515.15.

In Bo’ness, Karen McGee, of School View staged a coffee morning in her home and invited around 50 friends and family to support the event. She raised £547.

Many other organisations and individuals got involved, including the West Port Hotel and the Old Post Office pub in Linlithgow. Sadly we could not cover every event but well done to you all!
