THE Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a distinctive white German Shephard dog (pictured) was found in Bo’ness severely emaciated, suffering from a womb infection and with painful sores on her body.

She was picked up from North Street last Wednesday, February 8 and has been named Mia by staff.

*Meanwhile the animal welfare charity has expressed its shock after a lady living in Linlithgow, who allowed her dogs to become severely emaciated, did not get a court ban on keeping animals.
