Put the kettle on and raise money for The Stroke Association

The Stroke Association is inviting people across the country to hold tea parties and coffee mornings to raise money for its work supporting stroke survivors.

There are many ways to get involved in Sip for Stroke such as coffee mornings, bake sales, vintage afternoon teas, wine tasting evenings or even a cocktail party.

Sip for Stroke is a fun way to raise money for the Stroke Association and is a great reason to get together with friends and family over tea and cake or to get to know people in your community.

Every day millions of people enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with friends and family. So why not enjoy a cuppa with a difference and help support people who are living with the effects of stroke?

Karen Hodgins, fundraising manager for Scotland, said: “Sip for Stroke is a great excuse to get together with friends old and new and enjoy a nice cup of tea.

‘‘You can Sip for Stroke anywhere, at your work, in your home, in your school or in your village hall or with neighbors.

‘‘I am looking forward to seeing as many people as possible putting the kettle on for The Stroke Association.

‘‘I hope many tea rooms and cafes are also taking part by making a donation for every cup of tea or coffee sold. If any would like to get involved then please get in touch.”

Sip for Stroke runs from February to April and an information pack is available by emailing sipforstroke@stroke.org.uk or calling 0131 555 7245. More information on fundraising is available from: www.stroke.org.uk/fundraising
