A Linlithgow family is distraught as they start 2013 without their much-loved pet.

Holly (1), a cross between a lhasa apso and a bichon frise, was in the garden of the family home on Falkirk Road on December 31 when owner Julie Watt noticed she was missing.

She said: “There were sightings by people who drove past but we think she’s been lifted and we’ve reported it to the police.”

Mum-of-three Julie added: “She’s cute and curly and we all miss her.’’

If anyone has seen Holly contact Julie on 01506 844604 or Linlithgow police on 01506 843235.
