West Lothian workshop to help employees

A FREE Breakfast Workshop is taking place next week.

The event will provide practical steps on how organisations can improve employees' experience in their first six months of employment and quickly develop an effective new member of staff.

The event is being held at the Enterprise Centre, Almondvale Boulevard, Livingston on Thursday, March 25 at 8am.

The event is being organised by Business Gateway West Lothianin association with local HR, management consultancy and training company, Enhance People Consultants.

Alice Sinnet, the council's Business Gateway Manager, said: "Considerable time, skill and effort is put into recruiting the right people.

"Providing a positive, supportive environment that facilitates the new employee's integration into the business will result in a productive and happy staff member.

"A lack of focus by an organisation can call into question the recruitment and selection strategy, result in performance issues, decrease job satisfaction, and severely affect the employee's perception of the organisation.

"This workshop will focus on the practical steps all organisations can take to improve employees' experience in their first six months and quickly develop an effective new member of staff.

"The event is open to all organisations, large or small."
