Bo’ness Academy pupils enjoyed great success in their exams this year.
The results were announced by text and post on Tuesday and top performing students included fifth year pupils Lynsey Craig and Ewan Speirs who both got five A passes at Higher level. The exam system was changed at the beginning of the year and S4 pupils across Scotland sat the new National qualifications.
One pupil told us this made the beginning of the year a bit difficult as both teachers and pupils were unsure of the curriculum and it was a bit ‘unsettling’ but the results now in are very good indeed.
Head teacher David Mitchell said: “I would like to compliment all our pupils on their exam successes. This is the result of much hard work and effort by the pupils, their teachers and family and friends who have supported them. This collaborative effort has once again seen us record very good results.”
We spoke to some pupils who have their sights set on medicine, chemistry and computer sciences.
