Pupils from Bo’ness Academy got on their bikes to further an exchange visit with pupils from Vincent Van Gogh College in Assen in the Netherlands.
The 17 Bo’ness S3 pupils visited the Dutch school as part of an exhange that has been ongoing for four years.
The pupils have worked together on projects around recycling and sustainability. This year the focus was on the use of bicycles.
The Bo’ness pupils stayed atWitterzomer campsite near Assen. The pupils visited Gronigen. They also enjoyed a scenic ride through the Drenthe countryside.
They were guests of host pupils to experience a typical Dutch meal and home life.
A school spokesman said: ‘‘The pupils had a positive experience of cycling and became aware of the independence and freedom their Dutch counterparts enjoy.’’
