A local visit by the Play Bus paid dividends in Bridgend.
The children from Bridgend Nursery visited The Play Talk Read bus on World Book Day. The children were gathered for the walk down to the play bus which was located at the community centre.
They had an amazing time singing songs and rhymes and also enjoyed playing games and listened to stories.
The bus was on a whistle-stop toup of West Lothian and Bridgend staff agreed they were very lucky it had visited Bridgend.
Play, Talk, Read was launched in 2009 and highlights that simple interaction (playing, talking and reading) with children under three helps build the child/parent bond and can provide essential social skills, motivation and capabilities that make lifelong learning easier and help build a more successful life in the long term.
