Both St Ninian’s and Craigmailen churches have celebrated many marriages in their long individual histories.
This week, however, the two places of worship honoured the diamond anniversary of their own special union.
To mark the occasion, a thanksgiving service was held at the church, on Sunday, followed by a garden party at Longcroft Halls on Philip Avenue in Linlithgow.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the installation of a time capsule accompanied by music from the Reed Band.
The time capsule has been locked in a wooden casket, handmade by a member of the congregation and will be on display in the church.
It is due to be opened in June, 2074, the church’s 120th anniversary.
