Linlithgow Arts Guild will present a concert by the Doric String Quartet at 7.30 pm on Saturday, February 15, in the Academy Theatre, Braehead Road.
It will feature music by Beethoven, Haydn and Janacek.
The Doric String Quartet has received glowing responses from audiences and critics across the globe.
The Financial Times praised its ‘‘style of subtle lyricism and perfect matching of colour and phrasing.’’
The members of the Quartet are the three violinists, Alex Redington, Jonathan Stone and Helene Clement, together with the cellist, John Myerscough.
The concert in Linlithgow comes at the beginning of a busy schedule of performances for the Doric during the year.
Highlights will include concerts in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Hamburg as well as tours of the US in April and of New Zealand in July.
