Eddie Craven is currently walking the British coastline to highlight the plight of ex-service personnel suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Eddie, who served in the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment for 12 years, saw active service in Bosnia and Northern Ireland before being medically discharged after being diagnosed with the debilitating disorder.
Eddie said: “It’s hard for people in civvy street to understand the problems a lot of ex-service personnel experience after leaving the military.
“I have suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and, as a survivor of what has happened to me, I feel utterly compelled to make a difference.’’
Eddie crossed the Forth Road Bridge on Monday on his trek around the UK.
