With spring having officially arrived, Burgh Beautiful Linlithgow, supported by West Lothian Council and a range of local community groups and individuals, is
co-ordinating a clean-up and litter-pick at various
locations across Linlithgow on Saturday, April 12.
Litter is a continuing blot on the local landscape, and this event provides the opportunity for all sections of the local community to make a real impact on the appearance of the town.
Chris Long of Burgh Beautiful said: “The previous clean-up in 2013 engendered considerable enthusiasm not to mention many bags of rubbish. In a year when Linlithgow will again be competing in the Britain in Bloom competition it is vital that the local environment looks its best.”
The local spring-clean sessions will take place at various locations around the burgh.
All participants will then be invited to assemble at the Regent Centre for refreshments and a photograph which will be used as part of the group’s Britain in Bloom submission.
