Three villages in Linlithgow ward have been granted funding by West Lothian Council for improvements.
Bridgend has been granted £40,000, while both Threemiletown and Newton/Woodend receive £15,000 each.
The Villages Improvement Fund was launched in May 2013 with a one year allocation of funding of £430,000 for improvements and £60,000 for shop fronts.
West Lothian Council‘s executive agreed to the continuation of the fund on April 15 and agreed to split the balance across the eligible areas based on population.
Executive councillor for development and transport, Cathy Muldoon, said: “It is good news for West Lothian villages that they know how much they have to spend on proposed improvement projects up until 2017/18.
‘‘This will help communities to plan activities and provide an opportunity for them to seek and gain additional funding support based on their village population.”
