School digs in to help planters

A group of High School students are set to organise this year’s community flower project in South Queensferry.

Calling their project “Fantastic Flowers” they are looking for residents, businesses or individuals to help with planting flowers in the High Street on Sunday, June 15.

The S5 and S6 students volunteered to take part in order to learn project management and communication skills.

Volunteers who would like to take part, should meet at the police station in the High Street at 10.30am.

Lauren Yates-Badley said: “This has been a great opportunity for us to learn skills that will help us in the future. We’re very excited to be part of the management team.”

Volunteers can contact Lauren on 07557 302404.
