Seven in court after Operation Wolf

A 40-year-old Bo’ness man has appeared in court as a result of a police operation investigating historic domestic abuse and sexual offences.

Robert Gill, was arrested along with others during the special police operation.

Operation Wolf was carried out in Edinburgh and West Lothian last week .

It saw officers from the Public Protection Unit and the Divisional Violence Reduction Unit target various individuals for alleged crimes including rape, indecent assault, lewd and libidinous practices and assault.

Public Protection officers had been investigating reports of historic sexual abuse at various areas within the Lothians in previous years, and Gill was charged with two offences of lewd and libidinous practices relating to incidents alleged to have happened at different 
locations in Edinburgh.

He made no plea or declaration and was granted bail as well as being committed for further examination.

No further date has yet been 
set for his next court appearance.
