A Bo’ness-based musical production group is on the lookout for new young stage stars.
The Children’s Theatre in Bo’ness will perform The Snow Queen at the Town Hall in January 2015.
And this Sunday, August 31, from 1-4pm, the company will host an open day at its Grange Primary School base for budding dancers, singers and actors who have dreams of taking part in a big show.
Bill McDonald, of Children’s Theatre Bo’ness, said: “The show, which is based on the Hans Christian Anderson original, will be staged between January 20 and 24, 2015.
“The company rehearses every Tuesday night at Grange Primary.
“We’re looking for boys and girls aged between nine and 16 to come along and audition to become members of the company.
“We have a great group of young people from across Bo’ness and beyond and we are always looking to build the strength of our company.”
Mr McDonald added: “It’s a great way for young people to learn new talents and build on existing ones, whether they can sing, dance or have aspirations to act.
“It’s fun and enjoyable and there’s a great spirit among the youngsters who take part.”
Children’s Theatre Bo’ness has been up and running since 2000 and The Snow Queen promises to be the biggest and best production yet.
Rehearsals will step up a gear following the return from summer holidays and the crew are already working on the production of the stage set, as well as polishing the show’s choreography and musical numbers.
