A Proclaimers song has been recorded in memory of a Queensferry man who died last year.
A cover of the duo’s ‘‘Sunshine on Leith’’ song has been recorded in memory of Andrew Hardie, a lifelong Hibs fan, who died aged just 29.
Friends Vicky and John Wright and Penny Emmott contacted the Proclaimers to seek their permission to cover their song and the aim is to now raise funds for the RNLI in Queensferry, which helped in the search for Andrew at the time of his death.
The record, released on Tuesday, will be available on iTunes and other online stores under the name EOSR (Evolution of Sound Recordings) Sunshine on Leith.
Those who knew Andrew can also donate money at the RNLI’s Friends of the Sea website via the link https://rnli. tributefunds.com/fund/Andrew+Hardie
