Budding artist Sophie Scott-Telford no doubt has a bright future – after her drawing came out on top in our Mother’s Day competition.
The three-year-old’s colourful picture of her mum was one of dozens of entries for the Journal and Gazette’s Draw Your Mum competition.
The toddler’s design, however, attracted the most votes and she will receive a £50 gift card for her mum, Lynsey Barrett (25).
Sophie, who also lives with dad Iain Scott-Telford and little sister Abbie in Winchburgh, will receive a framed print of her art work.
Mum Lynsey was delighted to hear that Sophie – the youngest entrant in the competition – was our winner.
Lynsey said: “Sophie just loves drawing and colouring in – in fact she’s drawing just now as I speak!
“My birthday is around the same time as Mother’s Day so we went out for dinner as a joint celebration.”
Journal and Gazette Editor Colin Hume was very impressed with the standard of entries.
He said: “We were delighted to receive so many lovely pictures and special messages to mums – there are certainly a lot of talented young artists in this area. “
