Pupils at Linlithgow Primary are celebrating this week

St Joseph’s Primary School, Linlithgow have had a winning week recently with an author visit to the school along with a second place result in a West Lothian regional competition. Aisling McCusker of primary seven came second for her performance of My Love is like a Red, Red Rose in the National Schools Burns Festival West Lothian Region 2014 competition, held in Fauldhouse and Crofthead Burns Club. Author Alex McCall who won the Kelpies Prize (awarded by Floris Books) with his first book “The Attach of the Giant Robot Chickens” visited the school to talk to the children about his achievement and involved the children an active discussion about putting together a good story.
