The community spirit of residents and businesses in Queensferry has been praised following the town’s annual
celebrations for its civic week.
Ferry Fair chairman Graham Holmes took time out this week to thank the local community for their generosity and support over the past week and year which helped to ensure that the 77th Ferry Fair Festival was a success.
Graham also added that another special ingredient helped boost crowd attendances this year — the warm, dry weather.
He said: ‘‘Each year costs escalate to stage the event and I want to thank the local community and businesses who rally to fundraising events throughout the year and to the businesses who support these events and advertise in our programme. Their continued support is much appreciated.’’
And he added: ‘‘Without doubt the weather played its part in encouraging people out for events. We thank them for doing so.’’
