Kind-hearted fire fighters from Bo’ness fire station are rallying round to help a young boy suffering from cerebral palsy ‘‘live a more independent life’’.
They are organising ‘Logie’s disco and buffet’ night to be held at West Lothian Golf Club on Friday, September 20.
Funds raised will go towards building an extension for Logan Fox, aged 7, at his family home in Liddle Drive in Bo’ness. The extension will include a bedroom, wetroom and hoist.
‘‘It’s fantastic that I am now getting somewhere,’’ said Logan’s mum Lianne.
‘‘This will help Logan live a more independent life and make life easier for me too. It’s great the guys are helping in this way. Who better to help out than your local fire fighters?’’
Tickets for the event, which cost £7.50, can be bought at Bo’ness Fire Station between 5.30 and 6.30pm each night.
The evening starts at 7pm and lasts until midnight. More on this story next week.
