Youngsters clean up in hunt for award

Waiting for Video...

Douglas Park has had a spring clean - thanks to pupils at Bo’ness Public School who braved the chilly early spring weather to carry out the task.

The youngsters from primary two and six took part in the litter pick up as part of the school’s efforts to adopt a piece of land as a ‘clean zone’ as part of a Falkirk Council
initiative.

Clearing the area will help the school’s youngest pupils as nursery and primary one classes use it as an outdoor classroom.

The primary six children are also taking part in a SEPA competition to make changes to their local area.

Teacher Lisa Watson said: “The P6s organised the event. They all had an absolute ball during the clean up. They also found lots of strange objects!”
