Bo’ness United Community Football Club are set to give their rivals a run for their money after being a grant of £9,814 from Awards for all Scotland, a National Lottery funded programme.

The money is being used to purchase new training equipment suitable for mini kickers to 11-a-side teams , and includes mannequins, jumps, kick boards, goals, nets and corner flags.

It also includes funding to cover overheads incurred in bringing six Valencia FC coaches to Bo’ness for a two day coaching session for 90 children in July.

The club believe this will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many members of the club, and, with the grant funds will ensure everyone can participate by keeping costs to parents down to a minimum.
