AN NHS 24 employee from Queensferry has been recognised for her dedication and commitment at an awards ceremony.

Lynn McCulloch, who has worked for the telehealth and telecare organisation for nine years, was one of five staff from NHS 24s Queensferry contact centre presented with an award after being nominated by her colleagues.

The call handler won the ‘dignity and respect’ award in recognition of the difference she makes in approaching each situation with sensitivity and care.

She was described by her colleagues as having a “lovely telephone manner” and someone who “shows empathy” and has a “lovely caring manner”.

Lynn said she felt honoured to receive the award, presented by NHS 24 chief executive John Turner.

He said: “We wanted to take the opportunity to recognise individuals at our Queensferry contact centre who were felt, by their own colleagues, to go the extra mile.”
