Two of the UK’s favourite entertainers are taking to the road again this autumn with another fantastic evening of their favourite magic tricks and brand new illusions never performed in public before.
This will be an evening of comedy and amazement at Livingston’s Howden Park Centre on Friday, September 26.
Paul Daniels and Debbie McGhee just haven’t stopped since they burst onto our TV screens in 1979. The Paul Daniels Magic Show topped the ratings and he became the most successful TV magician of the 20th century.
Their last two nationwide tours, Hair Today Gone Tomorrow and From Legend to Leg End, garnered critical acclaim and sold out in venues across the country, proving that indeed people still like it – a lot!
In May Paul was awarded the prestigious Golden Grolla award, one of the most ancient Italian film awards which expanded beyond the film industry to include other art forms.
The Masters of Magic Congress awarded it to Paul for his outstanding services to magic. Paul said he was “so proud to receive this award”.
Whilst on holiday at the age of 11, Paul read a book on ‘How to Entertain at Parties’ and since then he has been entertaining the masses, from tricks for his fellow servicemen during his national service to audiences in their millions on prime time TV.
Opportunity literally knocked in 1970 when Paul was spotted by a TV producer and he was soon hosting his own show The Paul Daniels Show (BBC1) with his future wife Debbie McGee for 15 years.
Feted around the world, Paul Daniels is the only magician to receive ALL the top awards of the famed London Magic Circle, and even New York and Hollywood have honoured his magical achievements.
