Helping homeless and vulnerable young in West Lothian have a better Christmas is the aim of an appeal by an MP.
Martyn Day is supporting two local charities, Open Door Accommodation Project and Newlands House.
The MP is asking members of the public to donate Christmas gifts such as sweets, toiletries and other presents suitable for young adults between the ages of 16 and 25.
All donations can be handed into his constituency office at 62 Hopetoun Street in Bathgate by December 22, from there they will then be distributed to the charities in question.
Mr Day said: “I know how expensive this time of year can be, however I also know how generous people can be. Any donation, however big or small, can really make a huge difference to the lives of these young adults.
“These people have found themselves in a difficult situation, often through no fault of their own, and are trying their best to turn their lives around.
“Everybody deserves to wake up to a gift on Christmas day.”
