On Saturday the Deacons and My Lords from a variety of local organisations were installed in the usual way: by taking a sup from the Loving Cup offered by new Provost Jim Carlin. Many spectators watched the procession make its way from the West Port to the Cross.

Each organisation is represented by two members who will also take part in the procession on the Marches Day. Special mention must go to the Round Table’s Super Heroes for their colourful outfits! Children were not forgotten as they get a sip of Irn-Bru from the Blackness Bowl which is kept aside for the purpose.
