Motorists will be able to fill up a little more locally in Linlithgow as the new garage opened its doors today.

Provost Tom Kerr cut the ribbon to the BP and M&S store on Falkirk Road this morning.

He said: “It’s a prime site within the town and I’m sure it will be a big success in Linlithgow. It is certainly an impressive facility and I was delighted to be asked to officially open the new shop.”

Around 15 jobs have been created with the opening and approximately £1.1million was spent on the refit.

Brian Shirley, BP area manager said: “The new store and introduction of the M&S Simply Food range means we have been able to create 15 new jobs for people in the local area. It’ll be open 24/7 providing customers with a selected range of Marks & Spencer’s high quality fresh, innovative food alongside the best of BP fuels and our very own Wild Bean Café.”
