I have to concur with reader D Freeman’s comments (Journal and Gazette, letters, October 18)) with regard to the withdrawal of parking wardens from the streets of Bo’ness.
As most readers will know, I was ‘‘our man in Bo’ness’’ for a long number of years and, I have to say, ‘‘traffic chaos’’ was never an issue - well maybe on Fair Day for an hour or two - but even the most embittered and time pressed executive could see why there was a hold-up on that day.
There’s more than enough free parking at Seaview Place, Union Street and behind East Pier Street to accommodate everyone 99 per cent of the time and since when did anyone have sympathy for the ‘‘yellow peril’’ anyway?
