Bo’ness residents don’t panic - the Barony Players have a show sure to tickle your funny bone and you would have to be a stupid boy to miss it.

The performers will be bringing British comedy gold to the stage in their production of Dad’s Army.

From May 9 to May 14, Captain Mainwaring will be in charge, leading his unorthodox platoon of silly soldiers through three classic tales.

Deadly Attachment, which first aired in 1973, contains one of Britain’s funniest comedy moments when the platoon encounter the Germans and Captain Mainwaring does his usual best in failing to stop the enemy learning their names.

The crowd will also relive the classic episode, The Godiva Affair where Mainwaring and his men try to raise money to purchase a Spitfire.

The last episode to be brought to life on stage will be Mum’s Army where the men are shown how it is done by the women.

Final preparations are underway to ensure the Home Guard are fully rehearsed to bring laughter to the Barony Theatre in Bo’ness.

Tickets are available for all shows except the one on Friday, May 13, and can be purchased by contacting 07541 346639.
