IT’S the High Street, Linlithgow, but not as we know it today.
This is clearly a pre-1960s picture take in the vicinity of the Crown Inn/Pet Shop area and by the looks of things it must have been take very early in the day for there’s not a soul to be seen on the street!
It has to be said that the High Street at that time had a pretty drab appearance but it’s hard to say whether the current Vennel architecture is an improvement - at least the buildings in the picture are in harmony with each other.
