Another Marches another successful year for Provost Jim Carlin as he recovers from his second year at the helm.

“This year I knew what to expect so I was able to enjoy it a bit more.

“Again the people of Linlithgow turned out in their droves to make the day a big success.

“Without their support the whole Marches would be pointless.

“A big thank you to all the speakers who were all fantastic and entertained the crowd.

“For me my day started at 4.15am and lasted well into the night and I loved every minute of it.

“The weather didn’t dampen any spirits and everyone involved from Police Scotland to procession stewards made the Marches a success.

“A big thank you to Hunters of Linlithgow and Platform 3 for their continued and valued support.

“Work has already started for next year’s celebration.

“Looking to my third and final year if it is anywhere as good as the first two then I will leave my post as Provost happy and content.”
