New ANPR camera system and warning signs at entry to car park, Regent Centre.

Last week we reported on how customers using the private car park at the Regent Centre now faced a £70 fine for overstaying the allotted two-hours.

This week we were contacted by the British Motorist Protection Association who are campaigning for fair parking.

Angus Gill of the association said: “Our members are offering to help those who inadvertently pick up one of these fines. They will assist them through the appeals process to reach a satisfactory solution.”

The association can be contacted on 01424 559345 or via their website at www.bmpa.eu.
