LINLITHGOW Rose were worked hard at their training session when a few extras turned up to put them through their paces.

The 2001 age group of the Linlithgow Rose Community Football Club marked one year as LRCFC on Monday by meeting the squad they aspire to be.

Coach Billy McAdam said: “It was wonderful - it was one of the best nights we have had in a long time. It was fantastic for the kids - they now have role models in the team and their favourite Rose players.

‘‘We were very well received and I think it was the best training the Rose players have had in a while as well. The kids were really enthusiastic.”

Councillors Tom Kerr and Tom Conn also went along to the training session with the SFA’s David Drummond, with the hope that the event will become an annual fixutre on both team’s calendars.
