Murder accused in blackmail claim
A teenage boy who was stabbed to death in woodland near his school "blackmailed" the friend accused of killing him, a court has been told.
Craig Roy, 19, is accused of murdering 16-year-old Jack Frew in East Kilbride on May 6 2010.
It is alleged that Roy repeatedly struck and stabbed Jack in the neck and body with a knife.
The trial has previously been told that Jack was left with 20 separate stab wounds and a slash across his throat.
David Burns QC, defending, has said there was no dispute that his client, from East Kilbride, struck the teenager repeatedly with a knife.

Giving evidence on Thursday, Roy told the court that Jack had started "blackmailing" him and "making him feel uncomfortable" after Roy performed a sex act on him in January 2010.
The court heard that Roy had cheated on his boyfriend, Chris Hannah, and said he felt guilty and believed he would "lose the person I loved" and his friends if he found out.
But he told the jury that Jack "had threatened that, if I didn't do what he wanted, he would tell Chris and it would all be over for me".
The trial was adjourned until Friday, when Roy, who denies the murder, is due to continue giving evidence in the case before Lord Doherty.
